Baby Self Weighing - Towcester

These sessions allow parents to track growth, discuss development, and use self-weigh scales. A member of the Family Hub team will also be on hand to offer advice and discuss any questions you may have.

We have bookable 20-minute sessions for parents can use our scales to check your baby’s weight.

The scales and your baby should be placed on the floor in the clinical room for safety. We ask that you use the wipes provided and the disposable cloth to clean the scales before and after use.

Please cancel your booking if you cannot attend.

This booking is for the use of the scales only, not for use of the main children's area.

Towcester Hub Sensory Room

Our sensory room is a calming, inclusive space designed to support relaxation, self-regulation, and sensory exploration. It’s ideal for individuals with sensory needs, including children and adults with autism, ADHD, or anxiety, and can also support babies’ brain development. This booking is for the sensory room only, not the children’s play space.

Booking Policy (Unstaffed Facility)
Registrations: From 01/12/25 all families using the sensory room must be registered with Family Hubs. On arrival, staff will check you in, give you a pass, and confirm registration. If you’re not registered, you can do so onsite, though registering in advance will give you more time in the space.

Unstaffed Use: The room is unstaffed. By booking, you accept full responsibility for yourself and anyone in your care.
Supervision: Children and vulnerable individuals must be supervised at all times.
Use at Own Risk: We are not liable for injuries, accidents, or equipment misuse.
Capacity: Maximum 5 people per session.
Fair Use: Please avoid bulk-booking; excessive bookings may be restricted.
Non-Commercial Use: Personal/family use only.
Respectful Use: Keep the room clean. No food or drink. Report any damage.
Time Management: Arrive and leave on time.
Agreement: By booking, you confirm you understand and agree to this policy.

We visited the sensory room for the first time today! It's a lovely room with fantastic equipment and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My son loved the bubble tube. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Great facility with extremely kind and helpful staff. Air conditioned sensory room is thoroughly enjoyed by my 10m old and 3yr old loves the interactive game panels. I also found myself needing to breastfeed in an inconvenient outfit choice while in the library and they let me go back in and use an empty room which had a nursing chair, for a bit more privacy. Only downside is I found out about this place a month before the end of mat leave 😅

Such a great concept and lovely thing to have, especially for free during these difficult times! Easy to book and access and would definitely recommend it.

The only thing we always wonder, is why is there not a thin crash mat where the door is? Or why aren't the play mats slightly thinner? It's a good 6-8" up to the play mats, and then a hard floor. My daughter fell and hit her head unfortunately on our last visit, just seems a strange layout.

We visited for the baby self weighing and it was great ! Everything set up we needed, with friendly staff to show you how to weigh your baby :) would recommend !
